Welcome Guest.
The three day version of is short course will be run at the Port Stepens Community Arts Centre over three days 28 December, 4 January, 11 January. You can book to participate in Neil Miley's "Painting the Face from Life" short course on this site look at Courses (our new segment of the site) or enroll direct at the Port Stephens Community Arts Centre. The course starts from colour mixing using a limited palette and ends with a completed sketch painted by the students. The students are high school age and up.
The one day version of the course runs on 5 January and 12 January at the Port Stephens Community Arts Centre from 10.30am to 3.30pm. This is a slightly compressed version intended for people with less time to spare. The cost is a little lower because of the shorter instructor time and lower venue charges when compared to the three day version. Some painting techniques that require drying between layers will not be covered in practical work.
Upside Down Inside Out is providing discounted materials packages for those students that don't have the supplies to undertake the course.
On this site you can enroll and purchase the discount packages as options at the bottom of the page. .This week we have dropped the price of the Sennelier Boxed sets of 21ml and 40ml Oil Paints to $210.00. Our other prices are under review and you will see changes from next week. This will happen because we have decided to drop Arches paper and Conte pencils and some other lines that simply do not move, freeing us to concentrate on lines we can easily support. We have just checked our competitiors prices and find we are already cheaper than them even with their 20% off sale, but it is about to get even harder for them. Why aren't we selling much? Well the answer is we don't advertise much, so we are hard to find.... but if we advertise our prices will be higher. We rely on our customers referring people to us, so we can offer the absolute best price.
To show the commitment of Upside Down Inside Out Gallery to encouraging artists of all levels we have committed prizes to a number of shows and art prizes.
